It’s almost 3 AM, which in Lucia-language, translates to afternoon time. I’m researching my interviewee for today’s shoot, while simultaneously DIY-ing gift bags for Zooey’s upcoming party. And then I decided to blog. Please, someone, contain me!
It’s also the third week of spring quarter, and already I’m missing classes. Professors, I apologize. I did this in high school, and I will continue to do this throughout college.
Anyways… I never posted my Spring session with Mia from about 3 weeks ago. She’s such a doll. I want to grow up to be 4 again. Did that make sense?
Also – I’m nervous for today’s shoot, but I’m never ever this excited. Shooting with Diana King for our fall cover… And oh boy, this cover is going to extra-spectacularly-wonderful. Here’s to hoping the subject likes me, oh I mean the magazine. Hashtag: #starstruck.
It’s been two months since my last post, and so it’s quite evident I’m horrible with my own blog. I’ll be busy in the next two weeks, so I’m squeezing in a new post of pictures from my session with Olivia who is signed with LA Models.
I’ll be back in the SF Bay Area from the 25th – 30th, so I’ll be booking sessions all week! Email me for dates!
I had the pleasure of photographing 11 adorable models over the course of 3-4 days. Now that I am back in Los Angeles, I will be putting a pause to photography unless otherwise stated. Feel free to email me to inquire though.
Here are two adorable sisters I photographed a few weeks ago. They’re both with JE Model Management.
To be honest, I didn’t put much thought into 2013. Last year (a day ago) was inundated with many failures, sadness, but also what seemed like sprinkles of triumphs and happiness. I am in no way attempting to make this a dreary blog post, but I do want to tell my tale. While 2012 was difficult, I am grateful for each and every memory because it has only prepared me for the new year.
Now that it is January 1st, 2013 – I finally thought of a few goals for myself that I hope to achieve, which I know I may or may not succeed.
No more, “I’ll do it later.” I’m doing it all now.
Be happy. The only person who affects my every day…is me.
Take more photographs. I’ve been shooting almost every day this past week and it has been unimaginably wonderful.
Read and write more. My two favorite things. I do keep a journal, so I’m blessed to have the opportunity to look back.
Look forward. I’m a planner, I am. But I definitely want organization to be a priority for every day.
Explore. I live in Los Angeles 9 months of out the year and the only exploration I get to do of the city is when I’m out for meetings. Workacholics rule.
Write more letters. I love pen and paper.
Give more thanks. Gratitude keeps people moving.
I’m sure I have more on my list, but to round it all up…I just want to be a better person and prove to people I’m capable of more than just what they see.
Anyways, Happy New Year. I can’t wait to see what 2013 brings.
Be humble, be kind.
